Dr. Masaru Emoto was born in Japan and is a graduate of the Yokohama Municipal University and the Open International University as a Doctor of Alternative Medicine. His photographs of water crystals were first featured in his self-published books; Messages from Water 1 and 2. Hidden Messages in Water was first published in Japan, with over 400,000 copies sold internationally.
An interview with Dr. Masaru Emoto by LuxmiH Eve-lyn Forbes “As with Galileo, Newton, and Einstein, Dr. Emoto's clear vision helps us see ourselves and our universe differently; Science and spirit unite, resulting in a profound and undeniable quantum leap in how we view our world, and how we can reclaim our health and create peace." - Marcus Laux, ND, Editor, Naturally Well Today
Being Magazine: In your experiments, you have photographs of water crystals which indicate that vibrations from written words permeate the water; these written ‘positive or negative’ words have a positive or negative effect on the quality of water.
The human body consists mainly of water, so could a positive or negative tattoo affect the water in the body, the same way a label on a water bottle does? Dr. Emoto: A negative tattoo will of course have a negative effect. It is like a folk tale in Japan...where this monk, who was afraid of being “attacked” by ghosts, wrote the sutra all over his body to protect himself. However, although he wrote it all over his body, he forgot to write it on his ears ... and after the spirits came after him, he did not have a single scratch on himself except his two ears were missing! Therefore, it is not good to be attached to something so much as to have to tattoo it on your body, especially when it is negative. Therefore, good words are important to be always remembered, yes, but it is best if one can “tattoo” it on your mind and in your heart.
Being Magazine: Since written words transmit vibrations, is it possible that bandages with healing words printed on them might expedite the healing process? Dr. Emoto: Yes, there are actually people who do that. They say that it is better to place the positive statements strategically near acupuncture pressure points makes it most effective. Being Magazine: Do positive statements, such as “Thank You God” written on bottles of drinking water, enhance the quality of the liquid? Do you think that it could benefit the water in our body and our overall health? Dr. Emoto: Yes, of course this is the work that I have been doing over the years! Being Magazine: Is it possible that pregnant mothers could stimulate the growth, intelligence, and emotional stability of their unborn child by the way they think about it, and or playing music to it or even by simply writing loving messages on their stomachs? Dr. Emoto: I believe that this stage is the most important in bringing about change ... to talk to the unborn child, to have him or her listen to good, wonderful, positive words and music.... Being Magazine: Have you done any experiments to see if water is affected by the presence of dolphins?
Dr. Emoto: Not specifically however, we have shown the picture of dolphins to water and also the voice of whales to water and both created beautiful crystals.
Being Magazine: After Hurricane Katrina, did you conduct any experiments with the water in Lake Pontchartrain? Dr. Emoto: Yes, we had a beautiful ceremony with about 100 people around the lake. Many fish were jumping in the lake that day! It always affects water in this way (evoking responses from water)
Being Magazine: Is there anything that we as individuals can do using Hado, (Energy) to help ourselves and then the world around us? Dr. Emoto: Prayer is the most effective I believe. The more people pray for world peace and send that energy to water ... the more this will bring about positive change in the world. Being Magazine: What do you think is the most important message that comes from your discoveries? Dr. Emoto: The importance of written or spoken words.
