Letters from Being Magazine readers and subscribers
Compliments from cover to coverDear Jen, Thanks for the latest Being Magazine. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with this issue. I wouldn't even be able to pick out my favorite article, as they were all so well-written. It is truly extraordinary how much your magazine has grown from it's fledgling conception to the fascinating and informative publication that it has become. I read it from cover to cover, and when I was done I truly felt invigorated and inspired by some of the wonderful accomplishments and life stories contained within. Choosing to live a life of joy and happiness is not a choice you make once and then forget. It must be a choice that you make every moment of every day for the rest of your life. As daunting as this may seem, Being Magazine is exactly the type of media that is needed in this world to remind people why we can do it and more importantly, how we can do it. Thank you so much for creating something so valuable and meaningful for every human 'being'. Yvonne Carney Parkland, FL
Being at the gymGreetings Being Magazine,
I would like to thank you for "being" there at the right time and right place. I was in the gym and usually I just listen to my head phones and zone out but your magazine caught my eye laying around all the cardio equipment. As I flipped through the pages I was deeply empowered by all the articles and insight. You see I moved to S.FL just three weeks ago from Michigan to attain a lifelong goal of getting my doctoral degree. While this has been my dream I am having a hard time adjusting to this new place, new culture, and going back to school. I am a 24 year old Latina born and raised in Michigan, so there was certainly some culture shock :-) So when I caught your magazine and read through each and every page it gave me empowerment and hope that this is where I should be. Thanks Again!
Peace and Blessings,
Gloria Gallegos Ft.Lauderdale
P.S. I even took out some quotes posted them up for daily encouragement.
From MalaysiaGreetings,
I have just attended the first Landmark Forum in Malaysia, and are so thrilled to find out about the possibilities. I did a search on the internet with the word BEING, and stumbled across your website. I want to acknowledge you for your passion for humanity. I'm thrilled by your intention of the magazine.
Is there any possibility for you to send you a copy of your magazine to me? I'm at a stand that the Landmark Team in Malaysia will see it and see the power of transformation, and the power of the program! :D
Thanks so much for your inspiring effort.
Regards,
CY

From GuatemalaHi Jen,
I hope that you are doing fine. I am Crista, from Guatemala City. I received the second issue of BEING Magazine and I wanted to thank you for being so kind to publish my comment...it felt really good to read it!
I was beginning to worry because it was almost the end of July and the magazine didn`t come. So, you can imagine how thrilled I was when i finally got it! I enjoyed it from beginning to end! I loved the picture in the cover of the magazine..so refreshing! As I read the "Editor´s Letter" I was sad to hear that you encountered some challenges and obstacles to come through with both first and second issues. But then, was happy to know that your community stepped out and empowered you and that you found strength within to continue with this marvelous magazine. I want to let you know that I admire you for making your dream come true..and I can certainly tell you that when you want something so badly..the whole universe conspires in your favor..making it happen! As for me, I want you to know that I have also joined in helping you..not much, but I want to be part of your success..so I have sent an email to my friends with information about BEING and I included the website so they can take a further look at it!
Congratulations on your recent engagement Jen, and I think that becoming Mrs. Sandomir will suit you just perfect! And I am sure that you will very much get accustomed to it because it is the last name of the man that you love!
I hope that they grant you the name "BEING" for the magazine..and if this doesn´t happen..I am sure that you will find another one that will be as good as this one! Also, I think that the Section "Your Words" is wonderful because reader´s get the opportunity to express themselves through writing..I enjoyed "Postcards from the Summer" very much..I thought it was an adventurous and funny story.
Thank you again Jen for publishing my comment, it is a good example that you really care for what your reader`s think and comment. You have a fan of your magazine in Guatemala and I hope that whenever I have another opportunity of going on vacation to Miami..that I can visit your offices and have the chance to meet you and your staff. Since I have a bachelor´s degree in Journalism and a postgrade in Marketing I have always wanted to have an inside view of how a magazine is created, edited, published, distributed, etc!
I love to write, so I am still looking forward to sending you an article of my inspiration in case you would like to publish it someday!
Warm wishes from Guatemala, bye,
Crista
Inspired in Plantation, FLWhile at my doctor's office, I picked up a copy of your magazine. The cover alone was enough of an incentive to do so. When I opened it, I was even more impressed. I immediately wrote down your web address so I could get more info. I am very pleased by what I read and inspired to act. My first step therefore, is to subscribe and I know great things can happen from here on. My very best to you all at Being Magazine! Thank you!

Clearly ImpressedDear Jen,
Just wanted to get back in touch and thank you again for the Being Magazine issues. They have a beauty that is beyond the physical. Clear is the word that comes to mind, and I can sing no higher praises!
I enjoyed every aspect and was particularly struck by your Editor’s Letters. You communicate spirit-to-spirit, and that is the ultimate form of communication.
Thank you for finding me on the Internet.
If you would like to include my “Outside the Box” article in your January issue, I would be honored.
Sincerely, Jayne Johnson Scottsdale, AZ

Bobbie loves Being!
Dear Ms. Pilla,
I picked up your magazine in a doctor's office when I was in the waiting room of a doctor's office. What a wonderful service you are doing for humanity! I wanted to take them all and pass them out to people; I was so positively impacted and impressed with your publication that I wanted everyone to read it. I only took three and I gave one to a person who really needed to read it, and another to my minister (Religious Science), and I kept one for myself.
I would love to be able to have your magazine available for our congregation. You are a truly spiritual human being and I am so impressed that the idea "came to you" from Divine Inspiration (while you were in the shower).
I would appreciate it greatly if you could send as many copies as you feel appropriate to Rev. Alma so that they could be made available to a greater number of people.
Thank you for your efforts to raise the consciousness of the public for global peace.

Appreciating positive mediaDear Jen,
On Sunday afternoon my partner Robert and I decided to check out a local coffee shop here in Ft. Lauderdale. The first thing I noticed upon walking in, other than the smiling counter boy, was your magazine.
“Being!”, I exclaimed, holding it up to Robert, smiling. “Being Enlightened, Being Empowered and Being Intimate!”
I immediately started flipping through and taking note of the article titles. Then I went directly to the front section of the magazine to see where you were located. “Fort Lauderdale, Florida!” I sang, jumping around.
“I’m not surprised at all, not at all. You have manifested, or drawn to you, at the most accelerated speed I have ever seen!” He was shaking his head back and forth, smiling.
You know what? He is right.
I arrived in Ft. Lauderdale to visit in March of this year. I had been living in San Francisco for the last five years until I came to Florida to visit an old friend, Robert, only to fall in love with a person I had loved for years. I didn’t even think ‘falling in love’ was a possibility in this sense. Giggles, laughter and feeling like I’m twelve years old weren’t in my list of intentions for manifesting love in my life. Honesty, vulnerability, truth, expression, communication, responsibility, a commitment to spiritual growth and friendship, were at the top of my list. Feeling twelve again, at a young 33, was icing on the cake and within five weeks I was lying in the sun on my new back deck, smelling the fresh, warm air and feeling more peaceful than I have been in a very long time.
Since arriving, everything I had hoped to find nearby: yoga studios, organic grocers, free meditation classes, as well as wonderful, inspiring and aware local magazines, were popping up all over. Your magazine is even more uplifting (in my humble opinion) and in alignment with my life than the first one I found, Enlightened Practice.
Later, as Robert and I were sipping our soy beverages, I read your ‘from the editor’ aloud in sharing, only to find myself holding back tears that were formed in a mixture of happiness and deep understanding. A few days earlier I had been feeling a little down about unconscious consumerism and the media, when I was reminded by my great friend sitting across from me at the café, that “if the media wasn’t corrupt and the world wasn’t in the state that it is in, then you would have no purpose”. And here it was, printed in your magazine, reminding me of my purpose all over again. Thank you for sharing your ‘gratitude’ epiphany. Your letter spoke directly to me. I feel very strongly about positive media and our ability to affect change. It is wonderful to find like minds in my new home.
Warm Regards,
Tena Moore Ft. Lauderdale, FL
